A one-of-a-kind bed and breakfast option in nome

Situated in the heart of Nome, Alaska, Golden Sands Stables & Lodging provides access to the best that Nome has to offer. The lodging facility is within walking distance of grocery stores, restaurants, coffee shops, gas stations, downtown Nome, and more. Our location is also an ideal spot for Iditarod visitors as we are both close to downtown and the end of the race, as well as near a siren so you know when the mushers are racing in - which gives guests plenty of time to put their gear on and see the mushers arrive! We have horseback riding opportunities at our farm 6 miles out of town.

Affectionately nicknamed Carol’s Place, this home was purchased from Carol Piscoya, a well-respected regional elder who raised her large family and dozens of foster children in this residence. We honor her and want to provide lodging for the region and visitors in a way that would make her proud.
